A Post-Initiation Incentive Program (PIIP) is designed to encourage member participation within the chapter. This kind of program is designed to encourage participation and reward those actively involved in the chapter.
The Iota Chapter used digital badges to reward members for meeting PIIP criteria. Digital badges can be printed as certificates or displayed on teaching portfolio as a digital credential.
Service work must be volunteer work. You may not be paid for it and/or it is not part of your teaching/coursework placement expectations. Service should be education-related or a KDP sponsored community service event.
All PIIP Verification must be submitted by the last meeting of each semester in which it is completed.
If a member is completing their service to education outside of the KDP Organization, they should email the KDP President or Counselors to receive approval before completing the event.
REMINDER:
-
You may not earn PIIP points if you are not a member in good standing (dues paid both local/international; GPA requirements met; majoring in education).
-
Junior members in good standing are eligible to earn PIIP points just like regular members.
